Today, the fifth welding class at Fort Hood graduated 17 welding students from the Veterans in Piping (VIP) Program completing 18 weeks of accelerated training.
Each VIP graduate goes on to continue their training as apprentices in UA Local Unions while working for signatory contractors.
Special guests at the ceremony included Chaplain (Col.) Robert Warden Garrison, retired Maj. Gen. Anders Aadland, Col. Paul Dismer, Chief of Staff, 13th Sustainment Command, and Col. Paul Dismer.
