Camp Lejeune Welcomes New Welding Class

The UA VIP Program at Camp Lejeune welcomes a new class of 16 transitioning service members to their welding class.

To ease the transition back into civilian life, the United Association (UA) established the Veterans in Piping (VIP) Program to equip military service members preparing to leave the service with sought after skills that can lead to lifelong careers in the increasingly in-demand pipe trades.

Through an 18-week accelerated welding course, Camp Lejeune participants earn industry-recognized certifications and direct entry into stable, private-sector jobs with good pay and benefits.

The members of this class will make up the eighth welding program to be offered at Camp Lejeune, which is a U.S. Marine Corps base located in North Carolina.

Congratulations to the new members! We wish them all the best as they begin the process to start a new chapter in their lives.
